Book Clubs for Kids! May, June 2013
1st
and 2nd Grades - The book club for 1st and 2nd graders
usually meets the first Wednesday of the month. Next meeting is on June 5th from 4-5 pm. 1st graders will read an approved Early Reader. 2nd graders may read any Bailey School Kids book by Debbie Dadey. We will be having a cupcake party after our book discussion during the June meeting!
3rd and 4th graders may read either Sleuth or Dare by Kim Harrington or The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan. Next meeting on June 12th.
There will be a cupcake party at this meeting to celebrate the end of the school year!
5th through 8th graders will read Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. Each book club participant will write a short story set in any time period with a main character. Stories about a time in the past should remain true to the time period. Next meeting on May 15th.
Book Club for Kids will continue to meet throughout the summer!

Mondays - Hop, Skip and Read with Lauren groups will be held at the Bourne Community Center, Main Street Buzzard Bay. (These 2 groups will also meet on 3/25, 4/1, 4/8 for winter session registered participants.)
