Book Clubs at the JBPL

Knitters' Book Club  will meet Tuesday, April 28th from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. The next selection is The Glass Kitchen : a novel of sisters by Linda Francis Lee. Non-knitters welcome, too!

Mystery Book Club usually meets the 4th Thursday of the month. Next meeting will be - April 23rd, 2015,  6:45 - 7:45 pm.
Next selection: Jackdaws by Ken Follett. New members always welcome.

Ex Libris Book Club meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 11am in the Adult Program Room. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, April 14th, 2015. The next selection to be discussed is The Light in the Ruins by Chris Bohjalian.
 
Wednesday Readers Book Club
meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 2pm. This month the club will be discussing My Beloved World by Sonia Sotomayer.

Brian will be offering three separate sessions showing you how to use your device to the fullest and answer any questions that you may have. Make sure to have your device username and password handy.

There are 2 easy ways to print from your laptop, tablet, or mobile device. You can send a print job straight from your email or use https://prt2.ocsinc.ca/ to upload your print job once you’ve registered for an OCS account. Once you submit a print job using one of the options, jobs will be held for 2 hours and can be released at the print release station located near the public copy machine/printer.

IRS Tax News

The IRS is not providing the usual level of tax forms and instructions because "IRS appropriations were significantly cut in the 2015 Omnibus Appropriations bill recently passed by Congress.” 

The library will ONLY be receiving the following forms:

1040, 1040A, and 1040EZ

The library staff can help you locate forms, instructions, and publications online to print them. However, staff cannot help you prepare or answer questions about your tax return. The most popular forms and instructions are also available on the left hand side of our website to download/print.

Jonathan Bourne Library 2015 Peep Diorama contest
Entries must be received by Friday, April 3rd
Create a Diorama of your favorite book using Marshmallow Peeps!
Contest Rules:
Each diorama must be based on a book or literary theme.
All characters must be portrayed by Peeps.
Make the diorama using a box the size of a standard shoebox - no larger than 10"X12".
Contest open to all ages - one entry per person.
Please limit the use of food items other than Peeps in your diorama.
All entries must be submitted with an entry form
All entries must be in good taste.
Entries must be received by Friday, April 3rd and judging will take place the week of April 13th by a panel of library staff members.
There will be several categories of winners ( family, teen, child, adult).
Winners will be announced on Friday, April 18th and remain on display at the library until April 25th and must be picked up by Saturday, April 25th.

Teen Tuesdays - 2:30 - 5:00 pm
Program will resume Tuesday, January 13
Bourne Middle School students, grade 5 and older, are invited to join us at the Jonathan Bourne Public Library each Tuesday afternoon. Activities include WII games, art and more, homework help and just hanging out with your friends.
