Book Clubs at the JBPL
Knitters' Book Club will meet Tuesday, January 28, 5:30 - 7:30 pm. Our next selection is The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh . Non-knitters welcome, too.
Mystery Book Club usually meets the 4th Thursday of the month. Next meeting - January 23, 2014, 6:45 - 7:45 pm. Next selections: Afraid to Die by Lisa Jackson and Champagne Kisses Cyanide Dreams by Ralph Graves. New members always welcome.
Ex Libris Book Club meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 11am in the Adult Program Room. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, December 10th. The selection is The Gift by Cecelia Ahern.
Wednesday Readers Book Club meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 2pm. This month the club will be discussing Other Woman by Hank Phillippi Ryan. Next meeting - December 18th.

Announcing the Libraries for Job Seekers Grant
Programs and Resources for Job Hunters
The Library has been awarded a grant to:
• Develop a web page geared for job
and career seekers
• Add books and videos to the library's collection
• Provide workshops on basic computer use, resume preparation, interviewing and networking skill development
Workshops begin in mid-November. See our Calendar of Events for specific dates and times.
*This grant has been awarded by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners with funds from LSTA (Library Services and Technology Act), a Federal source of library funding provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
Christmas Tree Silent Auction at the JBPL
Winners announced December 14th, 5:30 pm
The Jonathan Bourne Public Library is alive right now with dozens of table top Christmas trees and other items to brighten your home for Christmas. All are up for silent auction.
The proceeds from each tree will benefit the charity of its creators' choice. Bidding will end soon and the trees will be awarded to the highest bidders on December 14th. Don't miss your chance to help support any one of the many charities represented.
"To Warm A Winter's Night" - Celtic Winter Concert with Aine Minogue
Monday, December 9th at 7pm
Aine Minogue will return to the Jonathan Bourne Library for her Winter Solstice Concert on Monday, December 9th. Come hear the wonderful sounds of the Celtic Harp and listen to ancient stories and legends behind the solstice. "To Warm a Winter's Night" is a magical journey through time and a concert you won't want to miss. No registration is required!
